IN HOME EXPERIENCE
Welcome to Honu Hideaway…
Our family is happy to welcome you to Honu Hideaway! We hope you find our private home peaceful and relaxing. Whether enjoying the birds chirping in the morning or taking a quiet stroll to the beach for the afternoon, we love this place and hope you do too.
In the pages that follow we provide basic instructions for some of the features of our home including the hot tub, WiFi, and televisions.
This is a very low-key neighborhood, which we love, but for your safety and personal protection of your property, please do not keep personal items (surfboards, towels etc.) out at night and, lock your car doors.
It is a very safe community, but you can never be too careful. For added protection, we do have security cameras in the carport and front porch. There are no security cameras inside our home or monitoring the backyard during your stay.
Now relax and enjoy this home away from home!

Televisions & WiFi
Family Room TV
This television is a Roku smart TV which allows you to watch cable, Netflix, Prime, Hulu, and many other streaming services. Please make sure you log in (when you check in), and out (when you check out) of your account. The small black remote turns the television on, while the larger grey remote is used to control the cable. The volume control is managed by the small black remote. The Roku app is another easy way to control the TV.
Other TVs
All the other TVs in the house are controlled by the respective remotes in their rooms. If you ever turn on the television and cable and you don’t see a picture, please ensure that the cable box is turned on. If the cable box is on, but there is no picture, please unplug the cable box, wait 30 seconds, and plug back in. This will reset the box and should solve the issue.
WiFi
The wireless router is in the family room behind the TV, and should cover the entire house, front and backyard. If the WiFi ever goes out, please try unplugging the connection, waiting 30 seconds, and then plugging back in.
